KBK Foundation was delighted to witness the overwhelming success of its first annual coat and shoe distribution event. As part of the KBK Community Supportive Services (CSS) initiative, 204 brand-new children’s coats and 96 pairs of shoes were generously provided by our partners at Operation Warm.
The atmosphere was filled with joy as parents and grandparents expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to acquire these essential items at no cost, ensuring their children would be warm and well-equipped for the winter. The day was further enhanced by the presence of Councilman Daniel Lavelle and Zone 2 Public Safety Coordinator Kayla Lewis, who eagerly volunteered their time and effort to assist the children in finding the perfect fit for their new coats and shoes. The excitement in the air was profound as children beamed with delight, trying on their latest gear and reveling in the attention and care shown to them.
Beyond providing clothing, this event boosted the children’s self-esteem and confidence, instilling a sense of uniqueness and value. KBK Foundation’s commitment to making a difference in their lives shone brightly through this initiative. This meaningful undertaking was made possible thanks to the generous support from Operation Warm, which perfectly aligns with the Foundation’s mission of "Bridging Today's Realities With Tomorrow's Possibilities."
